Jon Hensley has 25 years of architectural work experience in a wide variety of project types. He formed Jon Hensley Architects in 1997 and his primary role in the firm is to coordinate the design process and supervise the production of construction documents. Jon also provides on-site review of construction projects.

Jon is a 1983 graduate of the University of Tennessee, School of Architecture and is a member of the District of Columbia Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. He has served as a visiting critic at the Catholic University Graduate School of Architecture, a past member of the Pinecrest School Board of Directors and is currently serving on Arlington County’s Public Art Committee. Jon is a registered architect in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. Jon is also LEED accredited.

With 22 years of architectural experience, Sunny Evangelista Carroll has been with Jon Hensley Architects for the past 11 years. For the past 7 years, she has been a partner at the firm focusing mainly on programming, design, design development, and project administration. Prior to working at Jon Hensley Architects, Sunny worked at the offices of Shalom Baranes Architects and Cesar Pelli and Associates developing and coordinating designs for large and complex projects. She also has experience with the review processes involved with historic structures. Sunny is a 1987 graduate of Syracuse University and a member of the Northern Virginia Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
